Penygroes still waiting for its bus service

Residents in Penygroes are being left without adequate cover whilst waiting for their bus to arrive after the council failed to replace the shelter it took down.  Concerns about when the new shelter on Waterloo Road will be erected have been taken up by the areas local MP who have called on the council to ensure a shelter is put in place as soon as possible.

Adam Price MP said:

“This is a heavily used bus stop and people are being left to wait in the cold and rain without any protection.  We have written to the council requesting that they ensure that a new provision is put in place as soon as possible.  It has been some time since the original shelter was taken down and it is important that this issue is addressed.”

Adam added:

“It is concerning as people who rely on the service, many of which are elderly residents are being forced to take shelter across the road whilst they wait for the service to arrive, meaning they must then tackle traffic to get to their busses.”
