MP takes up fight for Broadband services in Llandeilo

Local politician Adam Price MP has taken up the fight to secure better broadband services in the Salem area of Llandeilo.  The Carmarthen East and Dinefwr politician has been contacted by constituents that have been unable to access broadband services in the area even though other residents only hundreds of meters up the road can access high speed internet.  The matter has now been taken up with Ieuan Wyn Jones AM as the Assembly Minister in charge of this issue.

Adam Price MP said:

“It is extremely frustrating for residents in the area who can not get access to broadband, especially when other people nearby have a perfectly good and working service.  Not only is it personally problematic but it is having a major impact on those running a business in the area with slow dial up connections hampering both an ability to work and running up huge costs.”

Adam added:

“We have taken this issue up with Ieuan Wyn Jones AM who I know if very keen to address broadband concerns in West Wales.  We will be looking to take this matter up with BT also and try and press for the issue to be resolved in order to ensure that broadband services are brought to Salem.  It is not right that people in Carmarthenshire are left without a service that has come to be taken for granted in other parts of Wales.”
