Speeding concerns taken up by MP
30th October 2007
Concerns over speeding motorists in Woodfield Road, Llandybie have been taken up by the areas local MP and AM. Adam Price and Rhodri Glyn Thomas have been contacted by constituents who have highlighted their fears at the speeds which cars are travelling down the road. The pair has now written to the council calling for traffic calming measures to be put in place to reduce the potential of an accident.
Adam Price MP said:
“The speed at which cars are travelling down this road is causing anxiety for residents in the area. There is a children’s park not far from the road and so it imperative that motorists take care to drive at a safe speed.”
Adam added:
“We have written to the council calling for some traffic calming measures to ensure that the problems of speeding through this area are addressed. Our constituents are worried about this issue and it is important that those fears are addressed.”
