Road maintenance causes concern
The decision to carry out maintenance on Rhosmaen Street in Llanedeilo has been met with concern by local residents. The work is due to begin on the 7th of April and will cause disruption for a month. Local residents are worried that the dangers of the work have not been calculated, as it will direct traffic through Church Street and Crescent Road which have no safe pavements for school children to walk on. The issue has now been taken up by the areas local MP.
Adam Price MP said:
“We have written to the South Wales Trunk Road Agency requesting that they address the concerns. It is important that fears about safety are dealt with and that the appropriate risk assessments have been undertaken.”
Adam added:
“I think it is essential that there has been a proper evaluation of what impact this will have on residents and the economy of the town.”
