Petition Launched to Safeguard Penygroes NHS Services
A petition has been launched to ensure that Penygroes surgery and chemist remains in the village. Local people have raised their concerns after the Local Health Board opted not to build a new health centre in the area but to move the development to Cross Hands. The petition has received the backing of the areas local AM and MP.
Adam Price MP said:
“The people of Penygroes are concerned that moving the facility from the village would be detrimental to the health and well-being of the community at Penygroes.”
Adam Price added:
“The petition will be taken around Penygroes for people in the area and patients reliant on the surgery and chemist to show their support. It will also be available in our office in Ammanford if residents wish to give their backing.”
