Lottery Terminal Petition Gets Huge Support
A campaign to install a lottery terminal at Ammanford post office has received tremendous support from the local community. Adam Price MP says the 800 strong petition, which he will be forwarding with his support, shows how vital the post office network is to the local community. The petition along with a letter from the MP is being sent to the lottery to try and get a lottery terminal installed.
Adam Price MP said:
“It’s quite staggering the level of support this petition has gathered. I will be writing to the lottery requesting a terminal be put in the post office. It is important that the post office can offer a wide range of facility’s to keep it sustainable.”
Adam added:
“It is important that we ensure that we are supporting our local post offices. The UK Governments post office network change programme has put a lot of pressure on rural post offices, many of which could be earmarked for closure. Offering additional facilities such as lottery tickets is one way in which it can break the boundaries of the traditional service.”
