Local Shop Takes Welsh Title
A Llangadog retailer has scooped the overall Welsh title for the Countryside Alliance’s Best Rural Retailer Competition. Morgan Newsagent & Post Office picked up the title and narrowly failed in a bid for the overall British national title.
Adam Price MP said:
“There were over 2,500 nominations this year, so for a local outlet like Morgan Newsagent to win the Welsh title and become one of only twelve finalist in the UK is a real testament to their importance within the community.”
Adam Price added:
“Last year we held a joint community surgery with the police at the Post Office which was a great success. The shop is a real cornerstone of the village and thoroughly deserves recognition for their achievements.”
