Local AM and MP battle for carers financial boost
The Amman Valley Dementia Carers Support Group have been given a boost after their bid for financial assistance were backed by the areas local AM and MP. Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM and Adam Price MP have written to Carmarthenshire County Council and the One Wales Government’s Minister for Health, Edwina Hart, to see what can be done to help fund the facility.
Adam Price MP said:
“This is a fantastic facility and one that has a major impact in the community. We have written to the council and the Assembly to see what funding can be made available to help in the fantastic work that the group does.”
Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM added:
“The group offers much needed support and is a vital provision in the Amman Valley. Hopefully we can help bring additional financial aid to the group to carry on that excellent work.”
