Concerns Over Road Saftey
Calls for traffic calming measures on Caerbryn Road in Penygroes have been supported by the areas local MP and AM. Plaid’s Adam Price and Rhodri Glyn Thomas have written to the council after residents in the area highlighted their concerns at the dangers along the route. The pair have also signed a petition calling on the council to make the road safer.
Adam Price MP said:
“Local residents are concerned that there could potentially be a bad accident along the road. The road has recently been closed as a result of maintenance on the sewerage works and there is a fear that the elevation in the road as a result of the works could cause a traffic hazard to motorists.”
Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM added:
“We have been informed of the history of speeding traffic along the route and so are naturally concerned that the appropriate traffic calming measures are looked at in order to offset any potential dangers. We would urge anyone who would like to signed the petition to do so by contacting our office.”
