Community Group Gets Thumbs Up From MP
A Ferryside community group set up with the aim of regenerating the area socially and environmentally has been boosted by the backing of a local MP. has . Adam Price MP, who recently met with the village forum, said the community will benefit from the newly established initiative.
Adam Price MP said:
“When I met the forum I was impressed with their enthusiasm and look forward to helping them in their endeavours. I have written to Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM in his capacity as the Minister for Heritage to see what possible funding can be made available for sports facilities in the area.”
Adam added:
“It is excellent that local people are getting involved to put something back into the community. We are already making headway with improvements and have contacted the council’s community champion within the local authority to try and arrange a meeting to offer the group some guidance and support.”
